An online casino has paid $1,800 for a hot dog to add to its collection weird and wonderful objects. GoldenPalace online casino bought the 'Seattle Super Dog' on auction website eBay. The hot dog, which has now been vacuum-sealed and frozen for freshness, was put up for auction during the third quarter of the Seahawks NFL Championship game against the Panthers. The Seahawks consequently reached their first-ever Super Bowl. GoldenPalace already owns a number of novelty food items including a Cheeto-shaped like Baby Jesus, a dumpling marked with the image of Christ and a partially-eaten cheese sandwich supposedly embellished with a portrait of the Virgin Mary. The online casino has also purchased Britney Spears's pregnancy test and most recently William Shatner's Kidney Stone for $25,000. The Star Trek actor, who played captain Kirk, then gave the money to Habitat for Humanity to build houses for the poor. Richard Rowe, CEO of GoldenPalace, said: We are very pleased to own this piece of TV history and to be able to help a worthy charity like Habitat For Humanity." The money from the online casino's latest purchase will now be donated to the Grant Wistrom Foundation, a non-profit organisation that helps children afflicted with cancer. Mr Rowe added: "The eBay webpage received over 350,000 visitors so it's obvious that people are interested in the Super Dog. This will be a welcome addition to our collection of odd items."
