Keno.com has announced it is to offer poker as part of its online gambling site. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gaming Transactions, has entered into an agreement with RedFelt Software to provide Keno.com with internet-based poker. Games such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi and 7 Card Stud will all be on offer in daily tournaments with entries to all major events, including the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker. Patrick Smyth, chief executive officer of Keno-com, commented: "Our user demographic on Keno.com is made up of a wide cross-section of players. The average Keno player in New York is 45 years with a household income of more than $52,000. "More than 50 per cent report having some college, and over 50 per cent are male. In Ontario, 58 per cent of OLGC's Keno players are male aged 25 to 44 years. This wide base gives us the opportunity to cross promote our games with other mainstay products such as poker." Online poker is an increasingly lucrative industry, with research firm Christiansen Capital Advisors claiming that online-poker revenues have grown from $82.7 million in 2001 to a projected $5 billion in 2005.
